Sinhala , Music and Dance Classes
The Vihara also offers Sinhala, Music and Dance classes to the children in addition to providing them with a sound Dhamma education. These classes help the children of Sri Lankan origin be familiar with their cultural heritage.

I am Subhashini Ekanayake, I started teaching Sinhala in Sunday school at the beginning of this semester. I teach middle school/ junior high children, and I really enjoy teaching this class. Currently, I work fulltime at Texas Gulf Bank and attend the University of Houston-Clear Lake to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration. I like to listen to songs and watch movies with my family in my spare time.
I appreciate my husband Wasantha’s encouragement of me towards Dhamma education and teaching at the Sunday school. We have two loving kids, Wathila and Onali, who also attend the Sunday school.
