We are pleased to inform that the construction work of the Avasa Building commenced in the first week of April and made significant progress during the first month of construction. As can be seen in the enclosed construction pictures, the building foundation as well as wall and roof framing work is almost complete. It is anticipated that the roofing and exterior sheeting work be completed by the end of next week. The project is on schedule with an anticipated construction completion in September 2016. Please note that depending on the availability of funding, we may even be able to advance the completion date.
Fundraising for the Avasa Building was somewhat lagging during the month of April, however, is almost on target with $201,749.00 in pledges by over 130 dayakas as of April 30, 2016. Our target is to reach $270,000, the total funding needed for Phase I which includes the new Avasa Building, demolition of the existing Avasa Building, new parking area adjacent to new Avasa Building, and a walkway connecting the new Avasa Building to Shrine Hall by June 2016.
